They stand for everything that tries to pull us away from our Bridegroom, Jesus.
Like in The Nutcracker, where the Mouse King and his army try to keep the prince and his beloved apart.

Mice.
Fears. Distractions.
Obligations. Expectations.
Insecurities. Doubts. Negative thoughts.

When we give God the place that belongs to Him,
when His crown is truly allowed to rest on our lives,
then the mice will flee.
